Grants

Each year the Capital District hosts a two-day Engineer’s week event. The Capital District E-Week event’s focus is to promote the Engineering Profession by:

  • Raising public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life and protecting the public.
  • Promoting the importance of a technical education, including high levels of math, science, and technology literacy among parents, teachers and students.
  • Motivating youth to pursue engineering and related careers to provide a diverse and vigorous engineering workforce.

In support of these goals, the E-Week event assists in providing information on what engineering is to students so they have the resources they need to decide whether pursuing a career in engineering is for them. The E-Week event provides this assistance by offering grant opportunities to financially support organizations and events that have an underlying theme of promoting some aspect of engineering to the younger community. Proceeds from the E-Week event are used to help support these worthwhile student activities. Only organizations supporting K-12 or college students are considered for grants.

Organizations and events wishing to be considered for an E-Week Grant shall complete the application on this page.
